How It Began
CrystalCoastFamily.com began in 2019, shortly after we welcomed our second child—during a season of life we never expected.
After Hurricane Florence, our home in Morehead City was being repaired, and our family moved five times while we waited. During that time, we lived in both Atlantic Beach and Beaufort, and I came to truly appreciate how special each Crystal Coast community is—especially for families. I grew up here, but becoming a mom allowed me to see this area in an entirely new way.
As a mom of two, I was constantly searching for local events, activities, and family-friendly experiences. The information existed, but it felt scattered and hard to find. What started as a simple hobby became CrystalCoastFamily.com—a place to gather and share local resources for families navigating similar seasons of life.
Over time, this space has grown alongside our family, and I’m grateful for every reader who has found their way here.
